Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin to make skin smoother, reduce scarring and remove blemishes. Ranging from mild to strong, the strength of each peel is tailored to the patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures for additional improvement to skin.

A micropeel is a safe, non-invasive facial treatment that’s used to reveal smoother, more radiant-looking skin with NO downtime. The micropeel is considered to be an entry into the world of chemical peels, as it’s the least strong of them all. A micropeel uses a form of acid to effectively remove the top layer of facial skin. After the peel is removed, clients can expect to see glowing skin with minimized wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.

A Jessner's peel is a light- to medium-depth chemical peel created from a blend of salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol which all work together to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin. Patients also benefit from the noticeably youthful glowing skin after a Jessner's peel.

The PRX-T33 is the next generation of skin rejuvenation chemical peel, that does not peel. It contains 33% TCA, Hydrogen Peroxide and Kojic Acid. This formulation provides all the benefits of a high percentage TCA peel but without the associated side effects – discomfort and peeling.

The Jan Marini Transform Peel utilizes a high concentration of multiple acids to lift pigment and aggressively resurface the skin for overall skin rejuvenation. Retinol, peptides and antioxidants enhance efficacy and overall results. Excellent in addressing pigmentation, photo-damage, texture, fine lines and wrinkles and overall skin rejuvenation.
Retinol Activator enhances results and jump-starts the healing process by delivering retinol and beneficial peptides and antioxidants to the skin. Skin appears noticeably firmer, brighter, softer and more supple. Improves skin tone and uniformity. Lessens the appearance of acne scarring.

Some peels can result in tingling or throbbing, reddened skin, a crust or scab, and significant swelling that lasts, depending on the strength of the peel used, about a week. After a chemical peel, it is essential that the skin be protected from the sun.
